The Ontario Regional Business Mentoring Network is a program designed to help the RINs (
Regional Innovation Networks) support technology-intensive start-up companies across the province. The program provides each of the 12 RINs with annual funding that can be used to support a broad range of mentoring services essential to the success of local companies. The first run of the program culminated on March 31, 2007, with the possibility of renewal in subsequent years.
For further information on how to apply, please contact your

WHAT KIND OF WORK QUALIFIES
RINs may help specific companies with focused problems, or create programs designed to help multiple companies all facing the same challenge. The purpose of the program is to maximize the flexibility of SMEs to address their own critical challenges.
Notwithstanding this focus on flexibility, IRAP expects that the majority of problems identified by the RINs and their companies will focus on:
- Obtaining technical advice
- Enhancing managerial development
- Leveraging core technical and business strengths
- Accessing sources of financing
- Developing strategies to strengthen IP position
- Increasing marketplace credibility
- Entering subcontracts and joint ventures
- Mapping out global growth strategies
